unfortunatley they won't put out their Christmas stuff til closer to Halloween. They really don't have the Christmas Spirit.

The craft stores are usually the first places to start putting Chirstmas stuff up. I know the Michaels and JoAnn's out here are already in full swing for Halloween. If you look hard enough, you can probably find some Christmas things there. Hallmarks stores should also have some Christmas stuff out.

A local craft store here, Hobby Lobby, has a lot of Christmas ornaments and other decorations out. I have found tons of stuff I want to buy already. cheesy

It must be a local thing then. I have two Walmarts close to me and neither has Christmas things out. They are still doing back to school and autumn things. Hallmark does have it's Christmas ornaments out, but not their cards or wrapping paper.

I admit that I always have my eye out when I'm shopping but so far the only store in my neck of the woods that has any Christmas items on display is our local Hallmark Store. Usually, our local Wal-Mart puts their Christmas stuff out closer to Halloween.

I go to Walmart to look at the Christmas fabrics. They get those out now so you can start sewing and have your crafts and Christmas clothing ready in time.

Hey i got a question. I seen you lived in illinois. Does it really snow up there in chicago all time. My wife watches the show er and it's in chicago i believe. It snows alot on that show.

Well, it doesn't snow all the time. Right now we've had a couple weeks in the 90s with tons of humidity, but you're pretty much guaranteed at least one heavy (6" or more) per year. It's possible to get snow anywhere from October to April, and if I recall correctly, we've even had a blizzard in May.

I am guilty of checking for christmas stuff everytime I go into walmart. Our walmart usuallys starts putting out Christmas stuff right after school starts. Right now they only have the back to school stuff out and a few fall things.
Dollar Tree however does have thanksgiving and christmas stuff out.

I got a few assorted Chirstmas things from Michael's today. They had Christmas stamps and paintable wooden things.

Walmart doesn't have anything up in our area. But I do see Christmas items in other stores. :sparkle:

Guess I will have to go to our Dollar tree, I work only 2 stores down from it 3 stores the opposite way from JoAnns fabrics. Will have to check those two places out.

Our Walmart has had their Christmas fabric out for a month or so now. I already made my curtains for my kitchen, some place mats, small appliance covers and have the material to make a few aprons and kitchen towels with. I also found some really cute Halloween material. I usually don't make to much for Halloween but this material yelled at me pretty loudly.

I went to Walmart today to get some pool chemicals and they had moved to the garden center to make room for Christmas toys. The Holiday Barbie was being put out as I walked by. The Christmas fabric was out and all the thanksgiving/Fall floral thing-a-ma-bobs.
I'm anxiously looking for the lights. I'm doing the computerized synchronization to music light show this year and I need bunches of more lights.

I always park outside the garden section of my Walmart, no matter what I go there for. Last week I was checking out the boxes on the very top shelves and saw Halloween items waiting for the BBQ and back to school items to dwindle. No sign of Christmas items here ....yet. Give it a week or two.

I usually find myself in Walmart around the holidays looking for lights, & decorations. I was in Walmart right after Christmas last year and found an unbelievable sale on a 7' Christmas tree, 75% off. I bought it on the spot and cannot wait to set it up this year.

Ya, Jana I love to sew, it relaxes me. I was going to sew some more today but my sewing/office room was to hot and now that it is a little cooler, thanks to some fans, I am on my puter. Oh well, can't win them all.
I am making some various snowmen ornaments for my tree this year, so going to have to get busy on those.

There's a few local stores here with some ornaments and small Christmas items out but nothing at wal-mart yet. I look everytime I go in there.

I was at Walmart today and nothing in our store yet that says Christmas. But it's getting close.... I can smell it.... their deals after Christmas are the best. You got a deal on that tree. I'm trying to remember how to make bows so I can decorate the tree this year.
