This year for my fall decore, I decided Im going more Vintage! No window decores, nothing like that. More of the classic look like I have for my Christmas decore
This is what I got yesterday... I really like the vintage look of these things... So I picked these up yesterday to add to what I would like to do this year for fall :)
I still have to upload the pics of the pretty candle holders I got later today.. will add them here.

we dont decorate that much for halloween, though i think thats my fault. I tend to focus more on christmas decorations, & the other holidays get neglected

My mom used to make applehead dolls every year. We used those for our decorations. It was fun going to the orchard and buying the apples and the apple cider.

For Halloween I normally just do Jack-o-Lanterns.

Those are nice Jana.
Applehead dolls! My goodness I've not seen those in years. Must find a site with instructions on how to make them.
Unfortunately, Halloween isn't given much notice in England. Though the same isn't true in Ireland, where its a proper holiday. And my pagan friends really enjoy it. :pumpkin:

Those are really cute! Unfortunately, my DH and I don't decorate much for Halloween, mostly because of our small apartment and the decided lack of outdoor space. We do carve a jack-o-lantern every year and put it in our window but I'm looking forward to a time when we have a home and enough room to do the thing properly.

For Halloween I usually replace all my outside lights with blacklight bulbs and for inside I hang some stuff up and I have Halloween lights with pumpkin heads and ghosts that light up on themand are attached to Halloween colored garland that I bought at wal-mart. We also carve some pumpkins and paint some too.

It doesn't do much good to decorate out here, the Mormon community doesn't do the trick or treating thing. But I put up Purple and Orange rope lights around my flagpole. I'm usually to late to do the pumpkin thing. So, I get the candy to myself.

Right now we mix it up. Somethings are for the boo factor and some aren't.
This year I'm doing a witches kitchen and am having so much fun shopping for it.
We have an inflatable spider for outside, pumpkins and a few do dads. Inside, we have anything from bug stickers on the floor (big hit last year), to plastic wall scenes, arm and leg limbs to hang from my deacons bench.
Not a whole lot of people decorate around here. Mostly pumpkins. But a lot have treats for the kids.

Great idea Jana. Your decorations are beautiful. I decorate for Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. My daughter thinks that I am crazy...

I like to decorate throughout my home. I have some beautiful pumpkin tea light holders I got a few yrs. ago from a Party Lite party...I also have a great ceramic pumpkin from Williams-Sonoma, kinda a candy dish with top and all. I also have this 3pc set of leaves that hold tealights they are fall colors...very pretty These are on my coffee table. My newest thing is a glass candy corn tea light holder....on the outside I usually have a few real pumpkins sitting out before we carve them, I also have about 6 light up (plug in type) pumpkins outside, as well as lights on my fence walking up toward my home on the walk way...one is purple lights with pumpkins and bats, the other is skeletons and the 3rd is a pumpkin set. I also have a mickey mouse thats a (air type blow up when plugged in outside) he is a pirate and has a bag that says trick or treat....

I tend to stick more harvest themed...leaves, scarecrows, pumpkins. I don't anything really scary. This year for our costume party the most I'm doing for scary is spider webs and skeletons. My kids are little so I try to keep it mild, plus I am not int gore or super scary stuff myself. This year my best friend ordered me some nice fall stuff from Terry's Village for my birthday, like their leaf shower curtain and leaf chenille throw.

Ive asked my hubby to carve some pumpkins this year so that I could put some tea lights in them, but we've never attempted to carve a pumpkin before! Anyone have any tips? Are they difficult to do? Sorry if I sound ridiculous.:)
