Be aware, they require regular shots of anti-static spray to keep the "snow" from sticking and building up.

Don't get me wrong, I love them. I remember the first time I saw one; I stood there mesmerized for about five minutes with a big grin on my face.

As for the lack of outdoor outlets, start calling around with electricians. You may get lucky and find someone willing to do it on the side. You want to make sure it's done right, though.

Also if you live where it rains a lot, you need to run the snow globes night and day as they get condensation inside and then they steam up inside and you cant see them. A couple friends have them and they do this to them all the time.

I love snowglobes or waterglobes as the Brits call them, but its hard to get Seasonal ones here.

Yes I had one a couple of years ago when they first came out. They work best if you have an enclosed area on your porch or a deck.
