I recall a feeling I had as a little kid at Christmas. I can't explain it, but I still feel it.
In September, for a few days, I had that feeling, but it wore off.
I got out of the car at work this evening, and I had that feeling. It's like, warm and fuzzy. It makes me so excited. 6 weeks is way too long for me, hehe!
My favourite thing to do is to go Christmas shopping when it's dark, and all the shops are decorated. I have loved doing that since I was about 13. It cheers me up so much! :-) :-D

I know that feeling very well! I get it at really weird times. Like the middle of June.

You guys aren't talking about that funny "Hey, I thought that money was for the electric bill" feeling, are you? Seriously, my version of the feeling is always nostalgic. I think of my childhood and how innocent it seemed. To my parents, I am sure that being poor and worrying about Viet Nam and such took the edge off of the innocence, but to me each Christmas is a quest to recapture that feeling I got when I stared into the green and red Christmas tree bulbs and watched the world in living color. It was magical.

I know that feeling you speak of and at times I've tried hard some years to regain that and failed. Seems it comes back best when I relax and keep with traditional ways and enjoy. Think about Christmas past, and realize even thought times change, people go away, some of that always is inside me.
