They said that there is a bunch of christmas stuff in the back of the store. Give it about 2 or 3 more weeks before the back to school stuff dies down i guess. And all the halloween stuff also.

Michael's has some Christmas crafts out. They have wooden and ceramic Christmas things to paint. Small bead kits too. I also saw some ceramic and glass ornaments that can be decorated with those "rub on" paintings. YAY!! Christmas stuff!!

I was in our local walmart the other day and went out to the garden center and on the top shelves were boxes and boxes and boxes of Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff. I can't wait!!!!

Man, you guys are lucky... I went into our local walmart and it's the same old stuff, nothing saying fall or halloween or christmas is coming. I feel left out, out here in the desert.

I live in the wrong place. Only Hallmark has anything out. I think our mayor has an ordinance against "early displays".

I went to my local Walmart this weekend. They have started setting out the Christmas items in the garden department. So far though, nothing but about 6 different inflatables, a 4'5 foot tall Santa statue, and large plastic globes that look like tree ornaments for a large, outdoor tree.

Same here :( . I don't mind seeing the stuff a bit early but I'm always bummed when I walk into a store the week or so before Christmas only to find that they've started tearing down the Christmas displays to make room for the Valentine's Day stuff. It makes me feel like Christmas is already over when really, it's just coming down to the most exciting part, kwim?

I was in KC last weekend for the Hallmark event and there is a store called Holiday Magic that I could have spent hours in. I did manage to go to it 3 times and bought several ornaments. Halls Department also opened up its Christmas area that Saturday also.
