You know, a lot of boards have a thread dedicated to tattoos done in the board theme (Halloween, werewolves, comic books), anyone out there have Christmas or winter themed ink??

Well, all you'd have to do is go back and put a santa's hat on them, then you'd be in bizness!

I'm considering a "Jack Frost" looking tat but haven't found a design I like. I've been perusing deviant art.com but no luck yet. I should have never started the whole mess (tattoos I mean).

I am so not a tatoo person...

This one gal that adopted my cat, she was covered in them and noticed some on her of "Nightmare Before Christmas"

Definitely with you there. I have no problem with other people having them, but I personally have enough distinguishing marks and scars as it is.

I am also not a Tattoo person. Only cause I can't think of anything that I would want on my body forever.

I am not a tattoo person either. I can think of so many other ways to enjoy the sites and views of Christmas. :sparkle: Merry Christmas Everyone!

I have approximately 15 tattoos all together. I got 4 when I was over in Ireland and the rest are from the local area. I want to design one for when I become Elf first Class. I was figuring on using a military design with either Santa in the center and the chevrons underneath, or maybe an elf picture. Still in the design process.

That's a pretty cool design idea. Were you in the military? I was active duty for 6 years in the Air Force and made it to Staff Sergeant. After I got out my wife got me some new rank to wear on a jacket I have...

I hope you all can see this because at work I cannot! Anyway, I have one for each sleeve and I consider it a big promotion!:frankenstein:

i have no tats, and cant really imagine ever getting one. HOWEVER, i have been toying with the idea of a few snowflakes on shoulder/back but i (a) havent found a snowflake i really really like and (b) have doubts about white or silver ink looking pristine or as pristine as i would want it to look for at least another twenty years.

No tats on me either! Mostly because I can't see spending money that could be better used to buy Christmas CDs! The other reason is I haven't seen anything that I want to be permanatly attached to. (And remember, dear hearts, a preposition is a terrible thing to end a sentence with!)

Both my children have them. My daughter got one when she was seventeen. We had to sign for her to get an anchor with "hope" spelled out in it. It's on her lower back. I think it's cool and I won't be around when she's eighty anyway!

Perhaps I'll think of something related to Christmas music for myself one day. Then I'll find out the cost and go buy more CDs instead!

Yep the butterfly one was but my rose was in the tattoo parlour

I know I'm getting one to cover the crappy first one I got when I was in the Air Force, but I am so back and forth on the decision. I've gone from werewolf to Frankenstein to a bear to the hitchhiking ghosts from the Haunted Mansion to a Jack Frost design to a larger Sacred Heart.....

It won't be until next year but it might end up being whatever I want that day!!

You know, I was just pondering last week on what my next tattoo would be. I was trying to think of something that I really love and Christmas came to my mind!

My DH has a couple of tattoos, nothing Christmas themed. One is a set of drama masks (makes no sense because he's not into theater but he thought "they looked cool") and one is the result of a night of stupidity in his teens (he and his buddies decided to get drunk and give each other "homemade" tattoos....yeah, that was a grrreeeaaat idea.)

I don't have any tattoos. My DH loves them and would like me to get a couple and occasionally I think about it but then I pull out pictures of me in the 80's. There I am with big mall hair (crimped, mind you), enough blue eyeshadow and eyeliner to compete in the Tammy Faye make-up olympics, Hypercolor t-shirt, layered skirt worn over bicycle shorts and two pairs of layered slouchy socks worn at the same time and, here's the worst part, I thought I looked good!

Then I start to think...what if that fasion statement had been made a permanent part of my body *shudder*. Obviously, I cannot be trusted to make any permanent changes to my body.

Actually , I have and it didn't bring me much. You can request custom designs on deviant art if you're willing to pay and considering I have very specific requirements for this tattoo (color, size, etc) that might be my best bet.

I just thought a Jack Frost design could look good, I just can't visualize one I like.

'nuff said!! Thank you Jack Frost!

I have 4 tattoo's and am not done. None of mine are visable if I were to wear a t-shirt and shorts. They all mean something to me...I hope no one is checking them out when I'm 80...lol.

I'll be getting atleast one more this fall...have atleast 2-3 more in mind....

Oh and I need to edit my last post...I forgot about my new one..it's on my leg, so you would see it if I wore shorts....but I don't.

Amanda Elf, I didn't get a chance to welcome you to the bunch, so WELCOME! And great with the ink. I'm not done yet either. I figure I need 6 more roses for a complete dozen, that way my husband doesn't have to buy me flowers ever.....lol
Mine are mostly hidden also. But I worked in a jail and I didn't want people gawking at them.
