Halloween has never really caught on in England, but they do have Bonfire Night, formerly called Guy Fawkes. Fawkes was a 17th century Catholic who conspired, along with a group of like-minded men, to blow up Parliament.

in england, kids love halloween and they dress up and go trick or treating but it isn't a big celebration. bonfire is excellent, we often go and watch huge firework displays in the local parks and then go home for some hot food!
