Hello! Are there any teachers here? I've been working at a daycare center as a sub., and with the summer program. Yesterday I was offered a full time teaching position at the daycare (the current teacher is going to work somewhere else)! I told them today that I would take it. I believe its the 4 yr. old class - Pre-k. Cirriculum, keeping them in control (trying to), etc. etc. etc. HELP!

I'm not a teacher, but I work at the local high school with special ed kids. What are you really looking for? Things to keep them busy and learning or what?

:)) Just "google" song, games and crafts for preschoolers and you'll get a wealth of good links to helpful ideas for plans, etc.

Thanks!
Well, we have worksheets they have to do & different things. I dunno..maybe I'm just anxious/nervous and whatever else. I hope I can do a good job and hopefully it won't be overwhelming!

I'm sure you will do just fine, just remember what it was like when you were little and what you have learned and you will do great. If you have to get on the floor and color with them or show them how to spell words with blocks or just play with them. If they fall down and get hurt, give positive affirmations and you'll be the star. Good luck and enjoy yourself.....
