Anyone here stick to Classical/Modern decorations?

We have garland that is lit with white lights, gold bows with several different sizes and textures. Our tree is decorated in a victorian fashion. Ribbon, lots of ornaments, golds, reds, silvers, greens, matte, shiney and some ornaments made in poland/germany.

Then we have another tree that is all white with white lights, it will be decorated in a modern fashion. It will have teal, silver and frosted white ornaments. and a white skirt. Possibly a sputnic silver star. Along with pure white garland and a set of porcelain white dear with 24k gold antlers. They are superb!

Finally, my vintage tree. All silver aluminum. It will be placed in a vintage tree turner and a vintage color wheel will illuminate it (maybe, might do all white light). The tree will have cobalt blue glass ornaments sprinkled throughout. The skirt will be of silver color.

We have not done colored lights in a long time. They just don't seem "classical" to me. I like them, just not right now. Our windows will also have candles in them.

We don't put out tons of side decorations. We do modern decorations like ornaments in a glass bowl on the coffee table with candles next to it. Simple, elegant.

No lawn ornaments, plastics or blow ups. None at all :)

We have a green tree which we put in the livingroom, and an all white tree which goes in the diningroom our white tree sounds similiar to the way you decorate your whitetree except we put a angel on top she has a white and silver robe, our green tree has red garland and ornaments of different breeds of dogs I groomed dogs for many years so I basically dedicated the tree to our fellow canines my dog is a big Christmas fan also. Anyway it sounds like your home looks beautiful at Christmastime. Post a picture:treeguy:

I will most definently when everything gets up and decorated. That is if the house is still standing. Trying to get renovations going and it might be crazy. I am determined to have a great Christmas. I sure hope I can. Last year was terrible and I can not go another year without one. :(

I have an upside down tree in our gameroom/bar that has bar glasses and such on it. The star is Capt. Morgan. The white tree this year is going to be black, silver and white with a silver skirt and I even have silver and white stockings. The green tree is usually Santa heads or just a red and white tree. Haven't decided on that one yet.
