Shouldn't be too much longer! I can usually pick it up in our neck of the woods starting around the first of October. Oh, and then in November, they usually start carrying the egg-nog ice cream! My DH will make an egg-nog shake with egg nog and egg nog flavored ice cream. Waaaaayyyy to rich for me, but he loves it!

My nephew and I had a 100 days 'til Christmas the other day, he was disappointed because there was no egg nog at the store. We settled for hot chocolate! :)

There are three places local to me that sell it all year.

You are very lucky to get it all year. Living on a small island does not allow for such pleasures!

ALL YEAR! sweet
We can get extremely YUCKY eggnog at the liquor store. I want the Southern Comfort kind without the alcohol. Mmmmmmm.... I can feel my waist expanding just thinking about it.

I have no idea what kind of eggnog this is. I only drink eggnog in the couple of months preceding Christmas, and then it's usually just whatever is cheapest. I've never had this brand... maybe I should try it.

I have never tried eggnog but I really want to try the real thing. When I hear about eggnog I always think of the moose-head mugs Clark and uncle Eddie drink from in Christmas Vacation (I found theese mugs on ebay the other day). I would love to drink eggnog from a moosehead cheesy
But last night I made some Gluhwein (mulled wine)
yummy yumm..... I love love love it!
Since it is only a 2-figure number to christmas and today is a month that ends with -ber, I have started my christmas preparations 100%, with help from Gluhwein and christmas music....

For me, it's usually here in TX by the first of November. On one of our Costco trips we'll be looking through the freezer/fridge aisles and suddenly i'll be all, "EGG NOG!" and we'll pick up a case of about four cartons... and that lasts us until thanksgiving.
