Cold snowy nights are ok if you only stay inside. Living in Michigan I get tired of the snow and the cold by November.

I love it!!! And the colder and snowier, the better!!! We live in an area that seems to get more snow and is colder than areas even just a few miles away...I love it! My wife is cold when the temps dip below 74...but not me...Bring it on, baby!!!

I love it if I don't have to work during it! Being a 9-1-1 dispatcher is hard when the weather is bad and people have a hard time driving in the snow, freezing pipes, power outages, etc....

I love it. Seeing the snow piled on the balcony with the Christmas lights on making the snow glow different colors. I cant wait :D

Pick me!!! I do, I do!!! But I love cold snowy days even more, when it's light outside & I can sit inside w/ candles burning & watch it snow!!!! :) During the Christmas season, snowy nights are especially nice - I like to bundle up & take a walk in the snow & look at all the lights!!

I'm with kidzrme, as long as I have no where to go and don't have to drive in it..I love it.
Being cuddled up under fleece blanket, hot chocolate and the family all around.
Now, my oldest would want the power out too..lol..she lives for power outages...silly girl..not me.

I DO I DO I DO!!! (raising hand ) :) We get quite a bit of the fluffy white stuff here...the whole front of my home is huge windows, so we can sit in our cozy warm home and watch the snow just like we were laying down in it watching it fall... its really neat :)
We often takes walk in it... or hook my Husky "Duke" up to the childrens sled and he pulls them around the neighborhood... its quite the sight to see... neighbors step out on to their porch just to see it!
Let it snow!

This may come as a shock to some of you, but it rarely, if ever, snows up here. What snow we get blows to the pole from other areas... and that's a fact!:snowball:

I do! On those cold snowy nights, there is nothing better than lighting some candles, and doing some holiday baking! I love being in the kitchen...and the smell of cinnamon, pumpkin, and chocolate fill the air! If i have to drive in it, then its another story, but for the most part, i love it!

I wish we could get the snow you are talking about. When I lived in Illinois I couldn't wait for the next day so I could get all bundled up and go play outside. If it were to snow like that here in AZ I would first take a walk in it, so I could light the fireplace to warm me up and curl up with a good book or a good movie and some hot chocolate (with marshmallows). I want snow, Please........

I have fonder memories of cold and snow when I was a child. Then I was toasty warm for the coal furnace kept our house very warm and my parents worried about it, not me.
Now I pay the oil bill, which I just got oil this week and for 150 gallons, the bill is almost $400 and if we have a very cold winter, most likely we will have to get heating oil 3 or 4 more times.

Not a fan of snow or winter cold. It's too dangerous, too expensive and too inconvenient.

I really would like to see Christmas moved to Sept. or Oct. Less danger in road travel (of course there's always danger but at least no snowy or icy roads). Easier to visit, no winter boots or coats. And outside decorations would not get covered up by ice and snow (sometimes that stops me from decorating because I know it will be covered up).

ME! ME! ME!
If it starts snowing early enough in the day I will get a big batch of chili going in the crock pot, a loaf of beer bread in the oven and do some baking as well all while listening to christmas music. I will bake cholocate chip cookies and either and applesauce or pumpkin spice cake.
I can not wait. Bring on the snow sooner then later! :snowball:

I guess I'm in the minority here. I am not a fan of winter(except Christmas of course). I just can't seem to wrap my brain around the reason people like snow.

The pretty white glistening snow covers up the ugly ol brown grass & dead tree branches! :) Nothing like a fresh coat of snow when you wake up in the mornings to "make the world anew"....of course it turns to icky brown slush, but it's pretty while it lasts!!! :playing:

Billy........I am with you. I despise snow and cold; let me explain.

I used to live in Iowa for 35 years. I had my fill of snow, ice, and bone numbing sub zero temps. Thats one of the reasons we moved to Chandler AZ. If I ever have to be in snow and ice again, it will be too soon.

Its too bad that the greatest holiday ever has to be when weatherwise, its so miserable!

I would love to have a Snowy Winter Night. It just doesn't happen where I live! Wishful thinking.

I love cold snowy nights. I like to turn some outside lights on and watch the snow come down. I used to go out at midnight and shovel snow.

You're not exactly in the minority. I enjoyed the snow when I was a child. I love it at Christmas. It adds a special feeling and reminds me of those earlier days when my brothers used to make reindeer prints in the front yard and the neighbour's yard across the street. The smell of fireplaces and a snowpeople in the yard and a sleigh ride can add heaps of joy and wonder. I would prefer snow two weeks before and two weeks following Christmas and then be done with it.

The temperatures here are in degrees Celsius rather than fahrenheit, but consider for a moment that at -40 the temperatures magically register as the same. That's cold. Where I live, -24 to -46 with the windchill is common and we usually experience at least four months of it. If it's going to be that cold, I'd rather have some snow on the ground though.

Last year, we broke several records here. The least snow in December (just about a green Christmas), the mildest temps in January and then the coldest in February and March. The snow remained in some places well into the end of April.

So, to some extent, I've grown tired of it. I know Michigan gets some nasty weather and the chill from the lake is likely similar to our chill here. I hear you, Billy.
