I just finished it for my husband's grandfather. He's homebound now, spends every day in his favorite chair, and likes to put a blanket over his legs. It's hard to come up with ideas for gifts for him, and using my boys outgrown clothing sure was a good price!
I used the denim from all 3 great-grandkids (my boys) jeans. The fabric on top is all fabric from either the kids clothing, or fabric they personally picked (which explains the dinosaurs, batman and spiderman, LOL)
The blanket sewing time took less than 3 hours, but spent another 3 hours clipping all the edges so it'd roll and ravel in the dryer. Not sure if I wanna make more anymore!
I just wanted to show off my first homemade Christmas gift of the season!!
