Thank you eveyone :) I go for my first OB appt tomorrow and then they will schedule an ultrasound sometime to determine my exact due date... it must be sometime in May 08.

Actually mine arent a handful at all, but they are spaced apart too. Maybe your children are closer in age? Mine are a minimum of 3 yrs apart. This one will be 5 years apart..

Congratulations !!! Our "baby" is 21 and in the USMC. I don't think I have to tell anyone that they grow fast . . . . too fast. One minute I'm changing diapers and the next it's "Hey Dad, can I have the car keys"??? God bless you all, from all of the Eagle family.

Have you told your other kids yet? I bet they will be excited!?! My brother & his wife have 5 kids (but they are older - the youngest is 16 - but they were busy for awhile! :smile:) My oldest sister & her hubby have 4 kids, but they are all grown & out of the house too! A friend of ours has 4 children ages 2 - 13 & she miscarried last winter - I have a feeling we'll get news from them of another on the way sometime in the near future! :) Good luck w/ your appt. today!!!

cheesy I remember being shown a few ultrasound images by extatic "new" fathers-to-be, my goodness - what a sight . . . and they say women "glow".

I love shopping for children - I'm happy to report that I have yet to go wrong with my gifts.

I haven't been as successful with clothes though, but that's because I bought clothes that the grandkids sometimes couldn't wear until the following year or the grandsons sprouted since the last visit and magically entered an entirely different clothing department.

Generally, there isn't as much competition among siblings when there are four or five year gaps in ages.

:)) The only drawback I can think of by having children so far apart in age is deciding where to go for family vacations where everyone can discover something of interest to do.

Somehow we managed okay with a few of our family trips. The youngest grandchild is going to be turning five in November and the oldest grand-daughter is turning nineteen in December. We have found camping, waterparks, and amusement parks to generate the best options for finding something for everyone.

Our children are pretty excited to have a new baby on the way.. especially my youngest.
My kids are 14 (15 in Dec) 11, 8, & 4 (5 in Jan)

Yeah we love to go camping.. we live on the lake so we spend our time on the beach in the summer..
Children are a blessing from God :)

Congrats! My mom mothered 8 children. 4 boys 4 girls. She loved all of us! My grandmother had 16 children.
