I've never tried the LED kind, and had never heard of them till Dominick told me about them...

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas. I doubt I'll try them...

They are different. I have them and they are amazing though. You can leave them on, they dont get hot, color doesnt chip off, they last a LONG LONG time. I still love the regular lights. And I also love the old BIG bulb lights (they go on my balcony ;) ). But give them a try. Cant hurt to buy a little box of them!

Speaking of color not chipping off... did you know that the color of an LED is decided by the distance that the electrons have to "jump" in the semi conductor?

Diodes are fascinating.

I like the blue LED so i am going to try a box of them too see how it will look with the tradtional clear lights on my tree..:snowball:
