How many stockings do you hang during the season? Do you only have one for each member and/or pet of the family? Do you hang a number of stockings simply for decoration and amidst them a unique one for yourself or other members of the family that are used? Or do you....????

I think I might get some matching stockings to hang up this year for decoration amidst or separate from the 3 we already do have that are used. I still use my Michaelangelo Ninja Turtles stocking I've had forever and can’t not use it lol, its still in perfect condition and will probably use it forever. I’m attached to that thing.

We hang four stockings. One for each of us and one for the dog and the cat.

We just hang two very classic red furry with white trim stockings. Mine and DH's. Since my step-daughter is with us on Thanksgiving and not Christmas, we just use DH's stocking for her when we celebrate Christmas at Thanksgiving.

At my mom's house, everyone has a stocking with their name written on it in glitter so, with five kids, two sons-in-law and 5 grandkids...well, her house is covered with stockings at Christmas!

We always hang a stocking for each member in the house. This year we will be adding an extra one since my mom is moving in with us. I am thinking about ordering new ones with our names engraved on them.

On our mantle we hang 3 - one for me, one for hubby & one for the pooch! In the basement (OSU Buckeye basement) I hang 2 OSU stocking from the banister & an OSU stocking from the bar - so that's 5 total! :-D

At my parents house Mom & I hang a stocking for each of the grandkids & 1 great grandchild, so there are 15 stockings!

I have one, my wife has one and so does the cat ;) We dont have a fireplace so we drape them over the couch :)

I don't have a fireplace either, We hang them on the entertainment center...

I hang up stockings on both fireplaces. Not that I wanted more stuff, one set was for decoration and one set is for presents.

My brothers and I still have the same stockings we had as children and no matter where we are on Chrismtas Eve, Santa fills them for us. My husband receives a stocking filled by my Santa and my brother's wife and my other brother's girlfriend receive stockings from our Santa too.
O'Malley the cat receives presents, but we usually place it in a paper bag because he likes going inside and digging out his surprises.
Last year, I filled a stocking for my husband (and myself) that hung on the posts of the large mirror.
I played Santa and filled stockings for my parents one year, but they didn't want me to do that because Santa is supposed to fill them.
Growing up, all of our pets had stockings, except for the fish.
