no, i couldve been in the parade, but that involved being up at 3 in the morning, walking in the cold, & missing most of dinner. Plus having worked til 10 the night before & having to be at work at 6 the next day, i just couldnt do it

I don't blame you. I don't think tha I would want to be in it, then I wouldn't get to see it. I have to watch it every year, It just wouldn't be Thanksgiving without watching it.

I haven't but I think I'd like to at least once. I say I *think* because I really suspect that, unless you have an apartment overlooking the parade route, seeing the parade in person would be one of those things that is better in theory than in practice.

I like to watch it on TV, but I think it wouldn't be as good in person. Too many people for my taste.

I would love to see the Macy's parade once. But I will watch it over and over on t.v. It was one of the things my mom and I did every year. Have to see Santa, that starts the whole season and then we eat dinner and watch football games. The spouse isn't a football person and it is usually warm out so we will probably take the dogs for a run.

I like to watch the parade on tv while having a late Thanksgiving breakfast. I never went to the parade in person I think it maybe to many people for me.

I strongly dislike all parades except Macy's Day parade. Its just not thanksgiving without it. I don't sit down and watch the whole thing, but i have it own as i prepare for the day and I always have to keep my eye out for Santa. I would love to see it in person just for the experience but i'm betting i would only do it once, between the crowds and cold. I n general I would love to experience NYC during the holiday season. I bet its spectacular. It would be so very hard to have christmas away from home though.:tree:

It's not thanksgiving without five things
1. The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.
2. Football
3. Playing some sort of board game.
4. Turkey.
and the last thing that thanksgiving wouldn't be thanksgiving without...
5. someone forgetting to take the rolls out of the oven.

I have no desire to go to New York City. I prefer to stay in my cozy home and watch it on tv.
But for those who love to go, I'm sure it's an awesome event.

I love the parade but I would never go and see it in person. Plus I'd rather be at home in my cozy couch watching it with my kids.

Boy, I sure miss all the seasonal parades on tv. There's nothing like it here in England.

My parents took me as a kid but I was so young that I really don't remember it...I only live about an hour away from there...I'd really love to go sometime...Maybe I will...And let me give the opposing view...I LOVE parades...And I LOVE fireworks...I start every thanksgiving off with the parade though...If I have to go out for anything I tape it! I love the Thanksgiving Day parade...

We don't watch the Macy's thanksgivings day parade. Instead we watch the one from Philadelphia. It's sponsered by Boscovs. I would love to go to it one year when the kids are older. Right now I feel they are to young so we will sit at home at watch it.
