The one tree in my living room is a Santa Claus tree. I have Santa heads and other various Santas. The white Christmas tree this year is going to be black, silver, white and red.

If I could have more than one tree, I would think about doing a second one in a theme. But my apartment isn't big enough for more than one Christmas tree.
I do like having a non-theme tree at home because I enjoy seeing all the different ornaments that we've collected from various trips, childhood, gifts from friends and relatives, etc. It really makes the tree personal and special for me.
I like to check out the themed trees at the department stores, though.

I have 3 trees and each one has a separate theme. My biggest tree is my nascar tree....which stands almost 8 feet tall and matches the decor of my living room. I mean, I collect die-casts and I have car hoods on my walls....lol...so my tree needs to match.

We have a tree in the kitchen where the ornaments are different cooking utensils. Our main tree in the living room is strictly 'older' ornaments (that's the best way I can describe them). We try to keep it simple with just white lights. Our tree in the dining room is sort of a catch all. Any kind of ornament or light will go on that tree. I am wanting to do a tree of snowmen this year on a small tree but that is still being discussed as to where it would go.

We have a Christmas tree in each our rooms, the den, dinning room, and living room. The ones in our room we get to choose what ornaments we want when we go ornament shopping each year. We have two piggy banks in our room. One is for vacation the other for Christmas. We usually do Victorian tree in the living room (you know candles and natural decorations) The den is the Santa tree that is where the presents are. The dinning room is a decorated red and gold and my room last year was blue and silver. I think the most fun you can have with your family besides playing games is decorating trees.
