I have been reading the posts about everyone's Christmas memories and I just wanted to remind you...get some of these memoires down somewhere for future family memories to cherish....
One thing that I have started is a Christmas Memories Journal....it comes out every year at Christmas and stays on the coffee table or a shelf if little ones are about...and I encourage (okay I darn near MAKE) people who come to our home during the season...write a brief entry...little kids, big kids, for older folks sometime I scribe something they tell....It is great fun to look at every year...I also include any notes about holiday parties we had and menus we used...I hope it will be a treasure someday for my grandkids to enjoy..
If you are crafty you can make one by altering a composition book with Christmas Scrapbook paper or Susan Branch makes a nice one...but it has questions and stuff...isn't just open pages. Also Gooseberry Patch has one too. Or a plain red one is classic.

We do something similar to that, I started a "our Christmas scrapbook" adding to it every year. I love it.

Wow! I have never heard of doing a Christmas journal before. That would be a great way to keep and save some Christmas memories for future purposes. Thanks for sharing.

This is a fantastic idea. I have never thought of doing something like this. I guess I get to caught up with everything else. Thanks for sharing this idea. I plan try this...

It's nice to see other scrapbookers here and sharing some of their ideas. Now that it is just my husband and me, the traditions are not the same anymore. I'm trying to remember what it was like when I was little so I can write those memories down. I have enough Christmas paper to set up my own display. But I make my own cards every year and I'm trying to make a album of those. I also write a poem for Christmas every year, that way the journaling side is done as well.

What a great idea. I know how important it is to have written records of family for future members to read and become aquainted with past loved ones. I do genealogy and I encourage people to record because at some point there will be someone in the family digging up bones and what a thrill for them to find a journal written by the ancestor they are researching.

Thanks for sharing.

Oh I love that idea! It must be nice reading it.

I've not really done anything like that but I have kept a diary for a good few years now and have written heaps around Christmas time which I love reading back on through the rest of the year. I really like the scrapbooking idea though :D
