I have been thinking about letting my daughter invite a few school friends over about the 2nd week of December to decorate cookies and take some home. They are first graders so this should be fun! I also remember making this ornament with either my mother or possibly a school or church function. You take ice cream cones (I think the cake cones work best..vs.. the sugar cones) you glue a round shiney bulb to the top of the cone. I recall using a satin type glue on top of the bulb then we took sprinkles you use for cookies and sprinkled the top of the cones. Or you can leave them without. They really are a darling little ornament, inexpensive to make. I think the girls will have a blast making them. If any of you have any other ideas on easy ornaments to make I'd love to hear from you. :rudolph:

We paint burnt out lightbulbs (I've seen snowmen and elf directions online)

Sucker ornament: Stick a golf ball sized stryofoam ball on a sucker stick, wrap with material and tie a bow on just under the ball.

Dog ornament: Using a large dog biscuit (bone shaped) glue on googly eyes, a black pompom nose, ears and tongue (both cut from felt)

Candy cane ornament: String alternating red and white beads on a pipe cleaner, curve the ends so the beads stay on. Bend into a candy cane shape.
