We haven't played any board games since my mom passed away. But we play Yahtze (alot), we throw darts, play dominoes, pool, foosball. When we did play board games it would be trivial pursuit, scattergories, parchesi, scrabble. I use to have a Mousetrap game, and I always wanted a Hungry Hungry Hippo game to go with my collection of hippos.

Here are the games I remember playing the most
Backgammon
Battleship
Beat The Clock
Cars (or Wheels) don’t remember the exact name.
Clue
Checkers
Chess
Dealers Choice
Frustrations
Ker-Plunk
Mastermind
(Disney Mastermind)
Masterpiece (loved that game)
Monopoly
Operation
Risk
Roulette
Scrabble
Sorry
Steeplechase
Stratego
Tip It
Trivial Pursuit (including the Silver Screen Edition)
Trouble
Twister
Uno
We don't play board games as a family anymore, my mom and I used to whip out the Trivial Pursuit game before her stroke, now it just isn't fair for me to win every time. We play card games now and then. I enjoy playing and buying board games for the grandchildren. They have quite a few of the games I had when I was younger. I'm so glad that board games are still being sold at Christmas.

Card games of all kinds
Rummicube
I could go on.. we are adding Scattergories this year. I just played this for the first time last week and loved it!! I did pretty well!!

AMD - you have practically listed every single game I had (and I still have Masterpiece!!!) I thought I was dreaming Tip-it because nobody I know remembers it. It was in the same era as Kerplunk, Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots and that one with the tops that spun in an arena and banged against each other. Can't remember what that was called but it was fun!
I also had The Game of Life and The Inventors which had a really cool machine for rolling the dice!! Santa always brings a game for Christmas - last year it was a new Monopoly as my old one was a little battered around the edges and I'd had a fight with Ian Crawford (about whether or not you put all the tax money and fines etc. onto "No Parking" and if you landed on it, you got all the dough) He said you did, I said you didn't and he still has 1/2 of my rules..............!!!!!

cheesy I forgot to mention the Game of Life, and we had th Rock-Em Sock 'Em robots too. Did you ever have or play the game Mille Bournes. It was an English game translated from French and was similar to UNO, but it had traffic signs on the playing cards. I think the first one I ever had all to myself was TROUBLE. My dad has a shot of me on an old slide carrying the game in my hands to show him what I got and every time they showed it to visitors my parents always joked, "here comes Trouble". We had those whirl twirl spinning tops too. The name of it will come to me when I'm trying to decide whether or not I should sleep or think about stuff.
My Great Aunt's favourite game to play was Rumoli. She called my brother a "crook and a thief" because she thought he was cheating just cause he beat her at the game. Interesting - I was shopping and passed the game aisle and half of the games I used to play are still on the shelves.

By jove, I think I've got it. The game we had was Battling Tops.
We also had Hands Down, Reebound and a few others.
When lotteries first started out, each member of my family had a ticket pinned to the inside our shirts and we went on about our day like that. When our numbers didn't come up, we wanted to make our dad feel rich.
We came home from school the next day, took our play money from Monopoly and Masterpiece and stapled 1,000.00 to our mom's Rubber Tree in the living room before dad got home from work. Nearly killed the plant, but my dad liked his money tree. What he wanted the money for was to buy a 38-foot yacht. So for Christmas that year, that's what he got, only it was a plastic one from the local Joke Shop.
There were a few games I played at my friends cottage on rainy days when we were a bit older like Pick-up-sticks, Don't Break the Ice and Perfection, they had a closet full of games and puzzle just in case.

DH and I play the board games UpWords, Scrabble, The Game of Life, Monopoly, and Backgammon. If we got another game, it'd probably be Boggle.
My favorite group games are Rummikub, Catch Phrase (the electronic handheld version), Cranium, Taboo, and Guesstures (oh how many good memories we have...).
Off the top of my head, as a kid I adored Battleship (electronic version), Connect Four, Pictionary, Parcheesi, Trouble, Hungry Hungry Hippos, and although it's not a board game, good ol' Uno and pick-me-up sticks.

YES - Battling Tops!!!!!!! I'd forgotten about Hands Down - all those different coloured hands to hit!!
I actually have 2 games of Mille Bournes in my bedroom cupboard as we speak!!!!!!! I was going to mention that one but for some reason thought nobody would've heard of it
Has anybody mentioned Twister?? Still a good game although now I'm more likely to throw a disc out!!
Anybody have that labyrinth game where with 2 knobs you had to tilt the surface and make a marble roll around a given course without falling down one of the many holes???
