2 lbs. stew beef4 potatoes, chopped6 carrots, sliced3 to 4 onions, chopped1 c. celery, chopped15-1/4 oz. can peas16-oz. can tomatoes1 slice bread, cubedsalt and pepper to tasteDo not brown meat. Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart casserole dish. Coverwith foil and bake at 250º for 5 hours. Serves 6.
