Christmas Villages

I was just curious if anyone puts up a christmas(or other seasons)villages? My mom usually does one every other year or so. We have enough pieces to fill almost three 8 foot tables and some parts are doubled too. This year we probably won't do it because my mom has a broken leg. For those who do have you noticed that the pieces they are making (atleast at walmart/kmart) they are low quality. I remember pieces from Dept 56 that were so detailed and beautiful. I love our christmas village.

I put out a Christmas village every year. My mother buys me a new piece every Christmas.

I have always wanted a Christmas Village. I think they are so beautiful. I wish I had more room in my home to set one up. I have friends who have them and have collected for many years. It's so neat to see them all set up, lights on etc. It's like their own little wonderland!

That is my fourth favorite thing about Christmas decorations (indoors)
1) Our new manger scene (its very big)
2) The tree
3) fire place mantle decorating
4) Christmas villages (I believe we have 4-5 or more)

My father-in-law used to set it up every year until he got sick. It use to take him about a month to set up roughly an 8 X 4 foot table. It was a peice of work to say the least.

Mine has become addicting. I am always on the look out for things to go with my village. I have my eye already on a few things for this year. My mother usually buys me a big piece for Christmas so I do the fillers.

Me and my wife have a Christmas village that we put up and add on to every year. We mostly get all of our stuff at Kmart but we mix it up with stuff from Wal-mart and other places.

I put out my dept. 56 christmas village out every year. i have been collecting for about 10 years now.

:give:I always wanted a christmas village, and my husband surprised me with one two years ago. WE display it on our entertainment center. He bought the entire set at BJ's. It's so beautiful. I love setting it up everyear.
