I popped open Josh Groban's new Christmas CD over the weekend and burst into tears over one song.

His recording of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" includes cut-in comments from troops serving overseas. I was not prepared for that and found myself on the highway when I first heard it without an easily available kleenex.

I just wanted to warn anyone else who buys this CD so they wouldn't be caught without a kleenex while driving at 65MPH!!

Also, I picked up the Target version of the CD that includes a DVD. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks for the warning! I cry at the drop of a hat of anything sentimental. I can't even watch Hallmark of Christmas commercials that are sweet and touching, without crying!

I love Josh Groban!! I can't wait to get the CD. I will listen at home and not on the road!!

I can't wait to get his CD either! He has such a beautiful voice--perfectly suited to Christmas music.

I'm listening to Bette Midler's Cool Yule right now. It came out last year. It is really good!:hello:

Sorry to throw water on this lovefest but I wasn't all that impressed with his Christmas CD. I think the orchestrations are way overblown and that in this album Groban has gone very Celine Dion-ish in style. I've never felt that way about his other stuff but on this album he sounds to me like he is in love with his own voice. You can't do that with Christmas music. This one was a disappointment to me because 1) I had high expectations and 2) He went a direction I didn't expect.
