That's the thread that made me think to start this one. I thought that thread was more the question of where to find a schedule, and some discussion on it. This one will be constantly updated, with the current schedule in the first post.

Updated the original post with the ABC Family stuff, minus the non-Christmas movies. I don't care if they play Harry Potter or The Incredibles in December, it doesn't make them Christmas movies.

Unfortunately, all this data exceeds the forum's 10000 character limit per post. So I had to remove 12/24 and 12/25 to make it fit, but should be able to add them back as soon as some of the recent days drop off. Wonder if we can get a sticky, and a 20000 character limit for this thread?

Harry potter?

We discussed that last year, Personally, I think its bologna that its considered a Christmas movie because of a copule of scenes, they did a few shows like that las year, it was very disapointing.

Hurray for ABC Family!! A lot of people must have complained last year about them not showing enough christmas movies or shows.

christmas87
10-31-2007, 10:16 PM
they did.i was part of the abcfamily forum and they had alot of ppl asking why they were showing harry potter. i think they mention them having christmas in the first one but one seen.the rest has nothing to do with christmas.they did cut back on it cuz last year they had a whole weekend for it.and the same with christmas everyday. they didnt have it on the schedule at all last year and when ppl were asking why it wasnt on it or to put it on i see they listened this year and put it on atleast two times.i think it looks better this year.

Yeah, Yahoo is what I used in previous years to make my list. This year is a little more difficult, but I've found a few other searchable listing sites, as well as sites from stations themselves. And the input from others has been a great help. I update it every few days, if not daily, so keep checking back.

they normally show flintstones christmas on boomerang and cartoon network.it depends on what flintstones christmas episode your talking about. They show the episode that is part of the season on boomerang and they show the one when they save christmas on boomerang to.but they show a flintstones christmas carol on cartoon network.so this will most likely be in december unless they start showing christmas cartoons early like cartoon network did last year.

Sorry about that. I just go by what I find on online TV schedules (a mix of Tivo, Excite, DirecTV, and a few other sources). Sometimes they can be off, and I'm sure I'm capable of a typo here or there. I try to do my best to make it as accurate as possible.

Made some more updates today. Added a bunch for Thanksgiving weekend, which includes some Cartoon Network shows that someone asked about.

Does anyone know when they will be airing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer [the one on CBS] and Frosty the Snowman and Frosty Returns?

I'll have to check. ABC has announced their Christmas specials (Charlie Brown, Santa is coming to town, Polar Express). I'll add them later today, as well as check on CBS.

Should I add the Fine Living & Food Network stuff on the main list? I haven't in the past, because it seems there are 3 airings of Martha Stewart, Emeril, or Rachael Ray every day. Also, it seems that HGTV has something Christmasy on all day every day, and if you miss it, it will be replayed. I think it clutters the list, which most people use to find movies and classic specials. Also, considering the character limit on these posts, taking off the food & craft shows will make room on to include the entire schedule of movies and animated specials.

Did a major update today. So much so, I can only fit about 4 days' worth of shows per post. I'll do my best to keep it updated.

Remember, this year's sole airing of "It's A Wonderful Life" is this Friday at 8/7C on NBC. NOT Christmas Eve, like it usually is. I miss the years when it would air just about every hour. I think the Christmas season of 1987 (I was in 8th grade) I saw it 30 times or more.

Oh, my mistake. You're right! On their website, all I saw was the 14th. They are breaking tradition and showing it twice this year. Actually, many years ago, they used to show it on Thanksgiving day also, but they replaced it with the Dog Show.

You could grey out or strike-thru the old stuff maybe?

Well, I delete it because this forum has a 10,000 character limit. Now that many Christmas shows airing every day, I have enough room to post about 4 or 5 days' worth of shows. If I kept the old stuff, I wouldn't have room to update it with new days. PM me your email address, and I'll email you the entire list, from Dec 1 - Dec 25. I've been archiving it on my PC.
