i just saw a preview for this last night and it looked worth watching. Over the weekend though i watched "surviving christmas" and "christmas with the kranks" and those were pretty good movies.

I thought it was cute!! My kids really enjoyed it also. People are usually pretty critical of Christmas movies and think they are all cheesy, but if you like Christmas movies...you will enjoy this one too!

I saw it at the theater last Christmas and I loved it! However, the critics didn't. Another example of critics' animosity toward Christmas movies. You're right Officepro. Most of their reviews usually do mention corny or some other similar word. Not every movie has to be Oscar-worthy. There is such a thing as watching movies purely for their entertainment value. I prefer to form my own opinion!

That is a really good movie. Me and my wife saw it last year and she loved it even though she doesn't like very many Christmas movies.

It's not a bad movie, and I got a few chuckles out of it. The typical neighbors meet, hate each other, make up in the end type movie. It's a Christmas movie so you can't go wroing.

Watched it tonight and I personally would not add it to my Christmas DVD collection.. it really wasnt that good at all... none of us really cared for it. It did have some funny parts but nothing worth writing home about.

Anyone know where you can buy Deck the Halls for cheaper than $20? Walmart had it for $19.96--too much! Stores in my area are Target, Kmart, Kroger, Walgreens, CVS. The store ads advertise it, but they don't say how much it is.
Thanks!

I heard mixed reviews on it. I was going to buy it then seen it comes on HBO on Dec. 8. So I decided to hold off until I see it.

If you have HBO, hold out. Check the 2007 TV schedule posted on the TV board. It's going to air all month.

I finished watching it last night & I thought it was cute! Not a movie I have to rush out & buy, but it was a good Christmas movie to watch in the month of June!! Lol! Kinda funny with lots & lots of Christmas lights which made it very festive!! :merry: I would/will watch it again!

I bought this movie when it came out. I was little disappointed with it. It's a cute movie but it was not as good as I though it would be. Either way it has been added to our collection of Christmas movies.

I went to Blockbuster yesterday and they had some movies 4 for $20. I picked up Deck the Halls and Santa Clause 3 among others. I already watched both.

I also bought it recently at blockbuster with the 4 for $20. I personally loved it. Sometimes we expect way too much out of every christmas movie that comes out, they can't all be the ultimate holiday movie.

I think there is probably a lot of truth to that!! Us Christmas movie lovers have high expectations!

I loved watching Kristen Chenoweth if nothing else! cheesy
The movie's not terribly good, but it was still a fun 90 minutes or so. The decorations on Danny Devito's house were neat watching.
