Have you guys heard about the upside down trees? I've read that they are good for showing off ornaments. Have you heard anything else

I prefer the traditional things!!
Even if with some small every innovation year...
It does not appeal to the idea to me of the inverse trees

Speaking of upside down trees, it looks like that Hershey's Kisses tree on that commercial looked upside down.

(BTW, that commercial is very popular this time of year)

I saw one in the window of the shop the other day, and it just didn't look right.

Artificial Christmas trees were designed by taking the idea from a real tree. I've never seen a real tree growing upside down!

i wonder how they came up with it.

Here’s a link to an upside down Christmas Tree. I'm sure it was a Cat owner who came up with the idea.

That might be my answer to having a tree with my cat, O’Malley. Although, a six foot tree hanging upside down would still be fair game to him. We’d need nothing larger than three feet. He is quite the leaper. Here’s the link if you just want to check it out for fun. http://www.missoulian.com/NIE/topics/041227-christmas.html

And no, I'm not hurrying out to buy one either. :)

I think someone who wanted REALLY big presents for Christmas thought it up. I'll bet their parents said "don't get your hopes up. There's not enough room under the tree for Santa to fit that" and viola...the upside down tree came to mind.

Let the ones that want to say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas have mine. I think they are horrible. If you want to save room buy a slim tree!

Traditional all the way!!! :tree: :sparkle:

There was a store downtown last year that had their tree in the front window upside down. It was a regular tree that was mounted on the ceiling. I'm sure it was the center of attention for the people driving through downtown. I know that I looked at it everytime I drove by.

Traditional. An upside down Christmas tree would just be a novelty.

I have never seen one in person, but from the pictures I have seen they look weird. I think they just look wrong. I want a tree to look like a tree. :tree:

It reminds me of one of those upside down rooms they have in some "fun" houses.

I have both kinds of trees. The upside down tree is my husbands and it's in our game/bar room. It has some advantages where a traditional tree doesn't. I can put all presents (big and small) under it and everyone can see the pretty packages. I agree it isn't for everyone, but I happen to like my upside down tree as well as my traditional trees. But then again we never saw a tree growing inside of a house before either. To each their own......

They don't hang from the ceiling. They have a stand and they are well balanced. It may be a novelty, but it is kind of fun and Christmas is fun, right?

I prefer the Traditional Christmas Tree vs the upside down version. :tree:

Traditional one for me, please.

In the small all-year-round christmas shop that I work in, we have one tree hanging from the ceiling. The shop is on two floors and the tree hangs above the big wooden staircase. It doesn´t look anything like in the two pictures in this post, there are no lights or garlands, just gold glass ornaments. It´s a clever way of using the space but I wouldn´t do that in my own home.

My son and his bizarre, then-roommates did this two years ago. An upside down tree, done with a Batman theme. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

He's living with his fiancee now, so I'm assuming sanity will be restored this Christmas. cheesy
