I did a search and was amazed that I didn't find any mention of Lemax or Department 56 Christmas Houses/Villages! :-(
I am really wanting to start a Lemax Collection this year...(Lemax seems to be more affordable than Dept 56)
I really like their "Caddington Village" and I also think I will try and collect their Fire Stations, since my boyfriend is a Firefighter.

I like the Christmas Houses since my mom has 5 that my father's mother gave to her before she passed. They just seem neat to me, it's hard to describe. We don't have any little figures or anything but sometime when I get my own place and more $$ I'd love to run a train with the houses. :)
If anyone collects them, do you have any advice for me before I start collecting? I can probably only afford to get maybe 1-2 pieces a year excluding gifts.
