Has anyone seen Blizzard. I watched it the other night because I wanted a christmas movie I had never seen and that was the only one at video store I hadn't seen. I now am the proud owner of Blizzard. I really did like it. My favorite is Santa Claus them movie with Dudley Moore.

I have never seen One Magic Christmas. I've never heard of it. Tell me more about it. My favs have to be A Christmas Story cause it reminds me of my childhood. My mother bundled us up the same way. We truly did look like ticks about to pop. My other most favorite is It's a Wonderful Life. I have a tradition of toasting with nog and rum during the part where they toast to momma dollar and poppa dollar. It was a tradition started by some friends of mine and I keep it going every year now.

I just read a review of Blizzard and it wasn't too favorable. Luckily I don't care much what regular folks think about movies. Lightitup, will you give me a longer summary of the movie? I trust a fellow MMC member more than some Amazon.com yahoo. I'll need to rent it at a different video store than Blockbuster. We had a falling out after they made me buy a movie that I actually returned early but they lost. Anyhow, my favorite Christmas movie would have to be The Santa Clause. Favorite song: Little Drummer Boy by the Harry Simone Choir. Fav TV show: Rudolph, of course! Fav food: eggnog & Mom's sugar cookies with excessive icing.

Miracle on 34th Street (both)
It's A Wonderful Life
The Grinch (both)
Santa Claus: The Movie (with Dudley Moore)
The Santa Claus 1 and 2 (can't wait for 3)
Prancer
The Polar Express
Home Alone 1 and 2 (wasn't too impressed with 3, but it was okay)

I got the three movies I ordered and watched them all this week. I saw Polar EXpress for the first time and loved it! I haven't seen White Christmas in a long time. A Christmas Story reminds me so much of my childhood. I love that movie.

My Dad was a child of the 40s and A Christmas Story is the only movie I've actually seen him laugh out loud at.

I ordered three movies and got them in the mail and watched them last week. I saw Polar Express for the first time. Definitely has become one of my favoriites. I also got White Christmas which I haven't seen in years and A Christmas Story. Now A Christmas Story I already had on VHS but I wanted it on DVD. It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott are right up there as one of my favorites too.

i gave a friend, who works in the biz, all three tapes. he made a loop of em so that during my parties and things, they just play constantly. no rewinding or anything. its the best!!!! he made me 3 copies so that when one wears out, ive got a couple more. gotta find out if i can do it on a dvd that will play non-stop.....

I would bet the software exists to do it on a DVD. But VHS...that takes some good old fashion snipping, I think. Cool idea. We have a long list of favorites that get play, especially on Christmas Eve, and I'd love to just have it programmed to run without me having to change DVDs or flip lasers.

just find a studio in town and ask for the editing dept. then ask one of those guys if they do that sort of thing or can recommend an independent to do it if they dont....

Oh, I'm going to get this together one of these years. Starting at this point right now, I'm in full Christmas mode...we have the websites to update, the calendar for this fall to pursue and then the deluge of email starts and I'm just about totally absent from these forums, sad to say.

I have "A Christmas Story" on DVD but I wish they would add more extra stuff. I feel like I was a child of the 40s because we were sod poor (one level above dirt poor) and most of the toys and furniture we had was old. I wouldn't trade the memories for anything in the world. A Christmas Story helps keep those memories alive. :)
