:-D Hi Everyone :-D
It all starts on christmas eve. We play board games, watch Christmas movies, (My fave in the Grinch). But my favorite tradtion on Christmas Eve is looking at Christmas lights with a warm cup of hot cocoa in my hands. When we get back I get to open 1 present.
Then, the next morning we open our stockings. Then we have cinnimon rolls. then after that I pass out the presents to every body. I have so much fun in those two days!!!

I would have to vote 'other' as my favorite Christmas cookies are called Cherry Nuggets. Our family is mostly Swedish, so we celebrate on Christmas Eve. At about 2 in the afternoon about 12 - 15 of us gather at our house for the festivities. We drink punch and glogg while putting out all the dozens of smorgasbord dishes. We eat buffet-style like we've never seen food before! Then, we gather in the living room and sing carols until our voices are exhausted (all of the family are musical, so we sing a long time)! Then, someone does a reading of poetry or other relevant piece, and someone reads the Christmas story from the Bible. Then we take turns passing out gifts, usually one by one. Finally, we end the evening with special coffees and cookies and candies. One year we opened gifts for so long that we had to stop halfway through and have the cookies for strength to continue! No wonder I'm a Christmas freak! :-D

Another other vote. Snikerdoodle for me! I also enjoy tea cakes as well when my wife makes them for the holidays.

I love all cookies..haha..but my aunt turned me on to the Christmas Hidden Mint cookie. It is my favorite. My mom use to also make a wonderful soft fruit cake cookie that I still am trying to make myself but her recipe was unbelievable.

My favorite cookie for Christmas is one cut with our ancient cookie cutters and decorated by my mother. They look somewhat like a hunchback Santa, but I suspect he is supposed to have a pack on his back or maybe he is carrying a bag. Now I think I'll call Mom and put in an order. Thanks for jumpstarting a memory.

I love all cakies (excluded marzapane and those made up of chestnuts) but the chocolate is my preferred one and not only to christmas.... :D
In Italy one uses for the festivities of Christmas the "panettone" and "tronchetto" sweet made up of several creams (vanilia and the chocolate) with the shape of a log.
I do not know as to insert images otherwise I showed like being

There aren't too many cookies that I don't like. I didn't get this size by being picky. I even like those store bought 200 for a dollar sugar cookies as long as there's plenty of milk to wash them down! 8)

Well, I do have to say that I can't just eat any cookie. One of my aunts is an awful cook. We usually just throw her cookies away :-? Luckily the past couple of years she hasn't been coming to our cookie exchanges. Also a couple of years ago my sister made some pepper cookies. What was she thinking???? They were awful. When I am eating a cookie, I am expecting to eat something sweet. These were savory cookies. She should've had a warning on them. It really gave a shock to my taste buds!

Ok...I have several Christmas traditions, but this is one that actually has to come to an end this year and here's why:
I am from Atlanta, Ga. That's where my permanent address (my mom's house) is and that's where my family is. So I started school at Georgia Southern University(which is a three hour drive back to my home) about four and a half years ago. Fall semester ends the Thursday of the first full week of December (usually December 6-9). So that Thursday night, my friends and I get together to watch Christmas movies and eat dinner. It's like our goodbye to each other before the holiday break begins. Then, the next day, I get up at about 6:30am pack up my car, stop by the gas station, gas up, buy a cup of hot cocoa and some breakfast, then hit the highway. I love the cold, crisp morning! And even more, I love the three hour drive! I listen to Christmas music the whole way. But since I'm graduating this December, it will be the last time I ever make the drive :(

Can't think of any cookies I don't like but around Christmas time I prefer the roll out n cut sugar cookies. Made those growing up. Thinking about all the dough I ate and now days they say you aren't spose to do that. I turnded out ok other than a few delusions and some uncontrollable twitching.

During the Christmas season, of course it's the roll and cut, decorated sugar cookies that we make that I love the best!
Other times of the year, Chocolate Chip is my fav!
