Elf Ed Zachary (http://mymerrychristmas.com/2006/edzachary.php) has written a new column for the North Pole Gazette addressing the media's new-found obsession with Santa's weight (http://mymerrychristmas.com/2005/ez-santafat.shtml).

Ed would be the first to tell you it is a brilliant piece of work but even I have to agree this time. It is must reading for those who believe in Santa.

i must say i never considered the cookie factor. Of course it makes sense. How upset would children be if they left him a plate & in the morning it was still there. They would be crushed.

Thanks guys

I cant imagine what my kids would say if I told them we needed to leave Santa something low-carb and or healthy. They'd laugh and say Santa eats cookies. It is absurd that the media has nothing better to cover than Britney Spears antics or Santas weight. Come on big guys are jolly anyways right....
