This is nice! Put in the c-mas cards!

I have a list of folks I know, all written in a book.
And every year at Christmas time, I go and take a look.
And that is when I realize that these names are a part....
Not of the book they're written in, but of my very heart.
For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime,
And in that meeting they've become the rhythm in each rhyme.
And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,
I really feel that I'm composed of each remembered name.
And while you may not be aware of any special link
Just meeting you has changed my life, and a lot more than you think.
For once I've met somebody, the years cannot erase
The memory of a pleasant word or of a friendly face.
So never think my Christmas cards are just a mere routine
Of names on a Christmas list, forgotten in between.
For when I send a Christmas card that is addressed to you,
It's because you are on the list of folks I am indebted too.
For I am the total of the many folks I have met
And you happen to be one of those I prefer not to forget.
And whether I have known you for many years or few,
In some way you have been a part in shaping things I do.
And every year when Christmas comes, I realize anew
The best gift life can offer is meeting folks like you.
And may the spirit of Christmas that forever endures,
Leave the richest blessings in the hearts of you and yours.

Hi Jana,

First, very talented at writing as that is very well written and nicely done. I thoroughly enjoyed that read.

Secondly, I wanted to share with you my appreciation for your willingness to take pictures of your decorated home and post them online. I just checked out your website and saw how wonderfully decorated your home was and became excited...it gave me that warm, inviting feeling when seeing the lights aglow how emaculately decorated your home was when viewing the pictures throughout. I enjoyed that immensely and wanted to thank you for sharing that with all of us year round...it is sort of a pick me up and motivational tool to help us look forward to Christmas 2008, particularly as we head into the long, tumultuous summer months with bothered elements in between (our economy, the war, the elections, etc).

I wanted to take a moment to thank you personally but for some reason it seems as though I cannot click on individual profiles any longer. I've been busy as of late and haven't been on here as much as I would have liked to have been, and unfortunately for that reason perhaps the administrators may have limited my account, thus limiting my access to personally view profiles of others on here (let alone my very own). Regardless, I just wanted to thank you and I wish you the best (I read about you being due in a couple weeks.)

Take care and be blessed and may this find you well. I hope to communicate with individuals like you and others more often, should this account find the means to not be limited for whatever reason.

Hello.
Several years ago someone sent me your poem.
It was beautifully written.
It inspired me so much I put music to it.

I just got on line after several years of being off, and googled the poem title.

Thanks for writing it.
