If you pick up the free Tesco magazine, they've a feature on Christmas decorating and they're featuring a black tree. Looks really smart but not my cup of tea:treeguy:

my daughter has a small pink tree in her bedroom. It's been up for a year already. I couldn't have a black one - too morbid for this time of year. I would like a silver one, lol!! Or maybe purple.

kellyann, Christmas trees were actually originally held upsidedown from the ceiling in Europe... Just a little fun fact.

Yeah, mamaduke, we used to do that too, but the rest of my family feels they're too messy. I love them though... Wait til I get my own house... :)

I prefer a traditional green tree! I've seen the pink, the black and purple ones, silver, white and all stages in between. I still prefer the traditional green. :)

I like the traditional green Christmas trees also.I also like the white trees but it's nothing that I would buy myself, but I like how some people decorate them. I've seen the upside down trees and I think they're a shame to the holiday.

i love a nice BIG green tree, real or fake. I saw one once with fake snow and loved that.
I dont like the upside down trees....they just look awkward to me.
I don't like the colorful trees much...maybe a tiny one to go in a bathroom or kitchen. I like the white trees some days...other days I don't lol.

We have a traditional green one, but I would love to get a white one for my kids play room, they think those are so cool.

I have all three, an upside down tree in our bar area (makes a great conversation piece) Most people drinking get a little upside down. The white one has (this year) has black, silver, white ornaments and red pointsettias on it. The big green one has Santa Claus heads on it. The good thing about the upside down tree is you can put bigger presents under it and the don't have to be pushed to another room or take up more space. It's not everyones cup of tea, but I sure do like mine and my husband finally likes Christmas trees. My little purple one is in my scrapbooking room and up all year round.

My familys tree has always been a green one
i think the green one myself is the best out of all the colours because it is to me the more traditional
The upside down trees were on gmtv and hereis a pic of one below
in my opinion white ones are quite nice but i detest pink and dont like black that much
in dont think they represent christmas whatsoever
below is the link to the history of the upside down tree strange???? and the horrible pink tree pic alsoblack christmas tree i9n my opinion looks like the one of christmas vacation where it has been set on fire lol

You know, I always thought I'd prefer a green one. I grew up with the silver artificial one. My mom had red and blue glass bulbs that went on it. We also had a red and a blue spotlight that shined from each side. I was so thrilled the year my mom said that we needed a new tree. I was in the 7th or 8th grade. It was a highlight that I remember. Now, I'm not so sure. When I see a silver (aluminum) tree, it brings back lots of childhood memories. Truthfully, I always wanted a live tree...but with my allergies...one of them to trees....it just wasn't going to happen. We got a new tree this year. Actually, I got it last year after Christmas, in mid January. Rick always said that he'd like a tree that came with lights already on it. I was in KMart last year, buying up lots of holiday stuff at 75% off and saw the tree. They had 8-10 of them. I called Rick and he said if I liked it I could get it. I'm looking forward to putting it up. It will likely happen next weekend...the first week of December. Okay, to answer the question, the best I can, I choose green. That was a round about way to give an answer wasn't it? LOL

Myself personally, I like white trees, had one once but a cat of mine wrecked it to shreds and it was a pretty nice tree too:x
