Well I just saw Christmas with the Kranks for the first time. Someone left me borrow it. While I don't think it will be one of my favorites, I do think it's one that I can put in my list of must sees each season. I think Polar Express has moved to the top of my list along with It's a Wonderful Life.

The Santa Clause, Muppet Christmas Carol, Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life. On TV it's Rudolph and the rest of the Rankin Bass Christmas collection, plus Charlie Brown's Christmas. 8)

Miracle on 34th Street - original version Although I'm not much of purist - I'm okay with the colourized version or the black and white one.
I also like White Christmas and Christmas Vacation.

no, i watched home alone 3 and 4... and in my opinion they are not worth to watch...
i mean you cant even compare first two movies with those other two... without john hughes as a writer, m.culkin as a kid, his parents, buzz and joe pesci and daniel stern as a burglars... :)
and I just read, that Home Alone 1: "Entered into The Guinness Book of World Records as the "Highest Box Office Gross - Comedy", accumulating $533,000,000 internationally"
prefect christmas movies, home alone 1 and 2... christmas classics; cant wait to watch em again this xmas :wiggy:

Do you remember the song on Sesame Street where they sang, "One of these things is not like the other. One of these things is just not the same."? Goody, you have a list of the best Christmas movies of all time, plus Bad Santa. Was that really a good movie? The previews scared me away. :-o

Thanks :-D I thought Bad Santa was hilarious. Me, my brother, and sister are always making quotes from the movie. Of course I'm only 19 and their in their early 20s. So maybe our young ages has a part to do with it. The language is quite strong and very often, but we still thought it was great. Just make sure you don't have any small children around when you decide to watch it. haha

If I thought about long it enough, I could come up with one, I guess. I just wonder how much I can say without sounding like I'm advertising for somebody. It was, of course, Best Buy.

I have to say that I absolutely LOVED the movie Elf. Probably only Will Farrell movie that I would allow my non-existent (for now) children to see.

How old/young are you guys, anyway? You go back and forth like you've been married 50 years, but you're still planning on having children, so cough up the stats! If you don't mind.

Oh and I know that I'm probably the only person in the world (besides my hubby that is) that likes Surviving Christmas but I really thought it was good. Boy did I get that dvd cheap on Ebay, lol :-D

Do you guys find that watching Christmas movies is always better if several people are watching with you? I love Christmas Vacation, but I don't laugh nearly as much if I watch it by myself. Now, A Muppet Christmas Carol is better to me if I'm by myself because I don't look as silly singing along. 8)
