So many people go out after Christmas just as they do after Thanksgiving & I was wondering if you'd go shopping on that day.:hello:

We dont have thanksgiving here but the boxing day sales are a tradition in NZ. With Xmas decorations specialled for between 10% and 75% depending on the store everyone who can is standing at the door of their favourite shop at least half an hour before they are due to open. Fortunately this year Boxing day is on a wednesday so I dont start work till 12 which means I will be able to get to most of the stores I want to.

Yes! I love shopping the day after Christmas and hit all the sales. When I get gift cards to spend, what better way to get more for your money!

Yes still call it Boxing day but there are very few of us that still practice the tradition of giving gifts - then again we dont have milk delivery anymore so there is only the postie and the paper boy.

I do, I always get money at Christmas so we do the boxing day sales, sometimes they're good, sometimes there isn't much difference, But I'm always wondering if I'm saving, because it's not really a save if you wouldn't buy the thing at full price

:give:I love getting after Christmas bargains! If we don't go out the day after Christmas, we do manage to take advantage of sales sometimes between then and New Years. Last year we bought three boxes of beautiful Christmas cards at the Christmas Tree Shop. WE thought they were half price, only to get to the register, and they rang up for .74 cents each. Now, THATS A BARGAIN! WE also love buying wrapping paper after the holiday too, you get such good deals!

I like to stay home and just relax when possible. I also will have to go to work that day to look after a dear elderly lady in her home.

I wouldn't necessarily go shopping on Boxing Day, but I am waiting for the sales to start in Boots (it's a shop in the uk) I want to get the make-up sets for half price. It seems stupid buying them now, i may aswell wait a few weeks!! (hoping they wont sell out)
