Is your Company having a Christmas party for employees ?

My husband got a new job 3 months ago & to his surprise we received a invatation to a Chrsitmas Party they are having at a prime rib rest. That should really be alot of fun, so I was wondering how many companies still have parties for there employees.

I once worked for a company that would stop production @ 12:00 & set up the warehouse for a party, then the forman would give every employee a card with a $100.00 bill in it. That was so much fun.:sparkle:

For me no, I am self employed so there is no company party. Although I do have a few clients who usually give me a gift or extra money.
For my husband the company he works for puts on a huge catered party. And they also have a huge party about 2 weeks prior to the adult party for all the kids.

YES! December 15th! We are going out to eat at an Italian restaurant & then we go out on the town...the boss buys ALL NIGHT!! :p It's always a ton of fun! Last year we rented a bus to drive us around, & the boss told me today to check into the bus again for this year.

We also close up shop at noon on the last work day before Dec. 24th (this year it will be Dec. 21st - a FRIDAY) & we have some adult beverages.

I work in a church and since we're a small staff (the pastor, myself and the financial secretary) we don't have an "official" Christmas party. However, together with the office volunteers and the volunteers in our food pantry, we always manage to pull something together during the last business day before Christmas. We all bring in tons of goodies and just laugh, listen to music and share the Christmas spirit.


My DH, on the other hand, works for a company that knows how to do Christmas! His company (smallish company) has a huge Christmas party each year where they provide a nice (think prime rib) dinner, munchies, music and an open bar. I always end up being the designated driver since DH gets a little too happy with the Christmas spirits (he always says "what am I supposed to do when the boss wants me to do shots with him? LOL ). That's also when they distribute the Christmas bonus's...his is always amazing. The first year it was a complete week's salary. The second year it was about a week and a half salary and last year it was two week's salary! :-x Merry Christmas to us!!
