The ones right next door to us wait until the week before Christmas, then everything's down on New Year's. I hate waiting. But across from the neighbors who wait, the couple always puts lots of big multi-colored lights on a tall blue spruce and they have lots of garland and red bows on their porch. The people who lived directly across the street from us did something different every year. Now there's a single mom living there. I guess money's tight; she doesn't do much of anything.
I've been trying to convince my hubby to put some colored bulbs in the outdoor light fixtures. We do it every year, but he's dragging his feet.
