Mine has to be that the whole family reflects on what this day is about by making sure everyone goes to the Christmas Eve service . We seemed to forget why this day is here with all the hustle
& bustle of the season.

Doing something for others and seeing the smiles on their faces - knowing you have made their Christmas a little better.

I love getting a Christmas tree and decorating it with my children and grandchildren. It brings the family together and it is great fun!

I love to buy my daughter an ornament every year of something that has pertained to her life for that year. I hope someday she does this with her own children.

LOL.. we have SO many traditions to carry on!
1. We go out and choose a real tree together and then my son cuts it down with his dad. The place where we go is very economical and it has a nice petting zoo!
2. We decorate on Black Friday
3. Our town's annual Christmas parade
4. We have an advent calendar and wreath where we have devotions
5. Stringing popcorn and cranberries
6. Every year we attend and support the local animal shelter open house and my 4 pawed boys get their pic with Santa.. $ supports the shelter
7. Local school for handicapped children has an annual program that I wouldn't miss for anything in the world!
8. We visit Hershey Candy Lane and Sweet lights, as well as a local site named Tiny town
9. We write a letter to baby Jesus telling him what we want to give HIM for his birthday
10. We celebrate the Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe with roses and song
11. We attend two local live nativities. The one has huge campfires and even has camels!
12. We make a birthday cake for baby Jesus
13. Christmas Eve mass
14. Hug and Toast at Midnight Christmas Eve
15. Christmas Eve we have tamales, potzole, and bunelos
Christmas Day its ham, stuffing, mashed and candied taters, homemade noodles, coleslaw, relish tray, jello, and pies!
16. We help the Salvation Army with disturbution and I ususally drive the kettlers a few weeks.
17. Christmas day we go into the local soup kitchen and it is SO awsome. Its like Miracle of 34th street.
Talk to you later....

:celebrate:My husband and I have so many traditions, it's hard to pick a favorite. I love putting up the tree and putting out all my other decorations. Hubby and I also exchange one small gift on Thanksgiving-we've done that since we were dating!! After the tree is decorated, hubby and I give eachother a new christmas ornament-I love that tradition!! WE go to mass on Christmas Eve, and exchange another small gift that night. On Christmas morning, I make a special breakfast omellette. We also enjoy the pumpkin bread I baked. My step sons enjoy the holiday with us. We open presents, and I make a ham dinner. Later on in the afternnon, we open stocking stuffers, I make coffee, and we enjoy the cookies and breads I baked. We love staying home for Christmas, listening to christmas music, or watching a christmas movie on TV. It's such a relaxing day, after the hectic days leading up to the holiday.

Mine is two traditions.
First, I want to keep Christmas alive inside me for as long as I live.
Two, I want to always decorate the outside of my house with Christmas lights and decorations.
