(we store it at their house in the summer since they live on a farm & have lots of storage space) I'm so excited!!

Thank you Holiday!! Those pictures are SO pretty!! I'll never have snow like that here (or at all for that matter!) but looking at those pictures really makes my 69 degree day feel even colder!

We are finally getting our first measurable snow fall of this season. Calling for 1 - 3 inches. Can't wait to get out work and get home to take the kids out to play in it.

it snowed here last night. About an inch. Yay!! My dog and I played around in it. Well, she played, I shovled. Tomorrow night, more snow! But this weekend, an ice storm. boo, I hate those, our driveway turns into an ice rink!!

I don't even really mind driving in it, but the other idiots on the road make it a bit hazardous. Middle aged women in SUVs are the worst... they think four wheel drive means they can defy physics.

It snowed very early this morning and into the afternoon here. It sure was fun to see. I leave my classroom to teach one of my reading groups. We go up into what we call "The tower room." When we finished, one little girl asked if she could look at the snow. How could I turn that down? I explained how to open the blind so we could all see. They only watched for a minute. I wish we could've done it for longer. There's something special about the first snowfall!

We've been getting a lot of it here in the upper midwest. Saturday it started snowing at 9:45 a.m., we got about 3-4 inches by Sunday morning, followed by freezing rain and sleet. My son's bb game Saturday was canceled. Tuesday afternoon it started snowing again, we got about 5-6 inches by Wednesday morning. My son's bb game was NOT canceled (which I couldn't believe, the opposing team was a good 40 minute drive away in good weather), but we won, so that was OK. My kids' schools actually had a 2 hour late start Wed morning, they were thrilled to be able to sleep in. Then last night (Thursday) it started snowing again. We got about 2-3 inches. Son's bb game was not canceled, but this time we lost.

We've got almost a foot of snow on the ground, I think. It's beautiful. I had my husband groaning though. Tuesday night on the way to the bb game, the road hadn't been plowed yet, and it just sparkled from the head lights, it looked like a sea of diamonds. My husband scowled and said, "Only you would see it that way". But I didn't care, it was pretty!

I agree sgrover...sounds beautiful!! :) Our snow is starting to melt & I can see grass in spots again, so it's time for a fresh coat of snow now!! :smile: We were supposed to have freezing rain/ice this weekend, but thankfully we didn't. I love, love, love snow, but you can keep the freezing rain!! Lol!!

dominick...that picture is awesome. It makes me want it to snow here in SW Florida..but that will never happen. I do miss snow around the holidays but after that I'm done. I love watching the weather channel and seeing all the snow falling up north.

We have my company Christmas party tonight & we have a bus rented to take us out. I am really surprised that nobody has called to cancel! I would feel a little better driving a regular vehicle than riding in an old school bus tonight - roads are pretty slick, but i guess so far it's a go! Crazy nuts!! :lol: I saw 3 vehicles in the ditch in a 10 mile radius this afternoon...hopefully our bus driver is a good driver!!!! They are calling for this snow to change over to freezing rain tonight, but hopefully that will stay away! We got 3-4" of snow this afternoon...I could really just stay home & watch a Christmas movie tonight, but oh well...the party is always fun!! Ok...I've rambled enough....

It has been snowing here all afternoon!! It started snowing yesterday & by this morning everything was pretty much covered in white. There are spots where you can see the grass, but that's because it's so windy...it's blowing it all into drifts! I just saw the snow plow go by here at work. When I went home for lunch there was a drift covering the whole street in our subdivision...I just kept my foot on the gas & plowed right through! :lol: Where was this snow at Christmas????

I have been hearing on the news about all the snow some areas are getting. I would like a little snow, but not that much. I hope everyone who is having all this snow is taking care of themselves and being safe.
