A guy I work with said to me today "just think, 3 weeks from today & Christmas will be all over!!" I hate the sound of that!!! Lol! Hard to believe, but it's true!! He's a "glass 1/2 empty" kind of guy anyway...but it sort of gives me that "ugh" feeling!! Also, I put a bill into the system today that is due Jan. 2nd, after the holidays...that makes it seem like this season is going entirely too fast!!! Unbelievable...

I agree. My hubby and I go shopping the day after Christmas to see what new decorations we can get for the following Christmas and start planning all over again.
Christmas never really ends though. The planning cycle and celebration stages just repeat every year. :yahoo:

Wow...this really is a bummer of a thread! :( Hey there's no sense in getting down like this before Christmas. It's still the Christmas season! There's still carols being sung, Christmas specials being aired and snow, and holly, and mistletoe, and Christmas trees and Santa hasn't even loaded his sleigh yet. We've still got a whole three weeks of Christmas merriment ahead of us! :wiggy:

Instead of thinking you only have 3 weeks left until Christmas, think of it that you have 3 whole weeks left of Christmas excitement. Then, you get a little break and get to start it all over again!:transform:

Just remember that Christmas isn't just a season (however cool (no pun intended) it is) but it's a feeling that should be carried all year through. Ok, who am I trying to kid. Love the build up, the planning and the day, shop the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, but hate the new year. And I just start planning my cards and christmas all over again. Let's all enjoy the 3 weeks of the Christmas season and take one day at a time afterwards.

I always enjoy the build-up to xmas more than xmas day but not only is it still three weeks to XMas but another two weeks or so before you take all the decorations down and start cleaning up so we still have about five weeks to enjoy. Time goes so fast because it is so much fun.
In January I put together my scrapbook (see other thread) which is another project and makes the feeling last just that little bit longer.
Plan something special and christmassy to do over the weekend like baking cookies, going to a christmas concert or other event, looking at the lights all over town,.... there is so much to enjoy during these next few weeks. It will lift your spirit. There is no time to think about the end of it yet !

I'm sorry...I didn't mean to bring anybody down! Ya'll are right...we have 3 WHOLE WEEKS to celebrate, look at lights & decorations, bake, watch Christmas specials on tv, listen to Christmas music, etc! I guess it was like a slap in the face when my co-worker said "3 weeks & Christmas will be all over" - with a smirk on his face! I also love the build up to Christmas....LOVE IT!!! And with the snow we got yesterday, it really seems Christmassy around here!

Every year I say I am going to work on my Christmas photo album right after Christmas b/c I really want an album w/ all Christmas in it....but so far, I have 2 pages done & they are from 2004! One of these years I am going to git 'r done!!!

:razz:I'll just take the stand that "Nothin's Gonna Bring Me Down At Christmas." I read this and just started singing this. It's from Randy Travis' new Christmas cd. I know it all comes to an end but I'm going to enjoy it while I can.

:transform:Cheer up everyone! If someone wants to be negative about Christmas, let them be that way, but don't let it ruin your fun! Some people are miserable about life in general. Lets all enjoy these next few weeks, with all the lights and decorations, not to mention whatever we do to get ourselves ready for the holiday. This time is meant to be enjoyed, not to rush December off the calender! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
