:}Here is a great idea for all of you who may have never tried this. Instead of using ribbon on my packages after wrapping them. I take some of the same paper I used to wrap the gift, cut it into strips, and curl it with a pair of scissors. Works great and looks even better because it matches the wrapping paper, tape the curls onto the package and top it with a bow. (I learned this trick ages ago from my boyfriends mother). She was pretty crafty!

I havd done this, and I have used different colors than the one used on the gift. This is good for not wasting the last of the paper if you have a piece left on the roll that is not big enough to wrap another gift. Thanks for reminding us!

I realize this was posted months ago, but I still would like to reply.
I have never heard of this before. Thanks for this tip. This is a great idea to do with scraps of the paper as someone suggested. Angiejo:snowball:

cheesy My Mom's creative ribbon attack was using various colors of curling ribbon (using the edge of the scissors ). The bows she made were enormous!! lol!!

This is an EXCELLENT idea that I have never tried. Great way to use up that last bit of wrapping paper that you can never seem to use on ANYTHING!! I will be sure to try it this year. Thanks for the tip!

I always save little bits of wrapping paper in case I have a small package to wrap but most of it usually gets wrinkled and thrown out. This will use it up. Thanks!!!
