This is a poll that was done in England.
A poll of only 1,000 (or so) people is really not that representative of a country with over 60 million people in it.
The poll also does not say who was polled (church goers, people who never attend church, those living on the street, the wealthy, ect) or where the poll was taken(country or city).
Also, only adults were polled, so how can they say that children do not know?
Can we trust the polls? Under the best of circumstances, the answer is "Not necessarily without a fair amount of detailed information about how they were conducted. This poll does not give that information.
Lets see one done right here in North America, using thousands of Canadians and Americans from all walks of life and see what the results are then.

Hey, they didn't poll me. LOL, I do get a chuckle out of these polls. But I am not surprised at the lack of knowledge by some concerning the real meaning of Christmas.
