Just received word that we'll have visitors from the North Pole here on the forums to answer questions some time over the week -- a backlog of emailed questions to the various sites of the Merry Network will be answered as well any new ones that are posted on this thread.

Question from Fernando in Mexicali: Why does Santa wear red?

Answer: Santa has worn red ever since he was a Bishop nearly 2000 years ago. Back then, bishops wore long red robes with white trim. His mother said he looked good in red so he stuck with it. We think red is a very festive color!

Question from Tyler K: Why do we get presents from Santa?

Answer: As a reminder of a greater gift given freely to all men by God. Santa has talked about this many times himself.

Question from Evelyn in Port Clinton, Ohio: How can I meet you?

Answer: Santa tries to get around to every town once per season at least. Sometimes the newspaper or the television news will announce where he will be and when. That's the best way to meet Santa. Unfortunately, Santa rarely has the time on Christmas Eve for a personal visit at your house.

Question from Brad in San Francisco, California: How did Vixen get her name?

Answer: She was not born at the North Pole and she came to us with that name. We were told never to ask her why she was named that.

Question from Isaiah: How big is your bag?

Answer: Like his sleigh and like Santa himself, it's huge. You wouldn't believe it without seeing it.

Question from Lauren in Ohio: Can you call me on Christmas Day?

Answer: Probably not, Lauren. Santa says he is a little busy that day. But he will leave a note for you on Christmas morning.

Question from Dylan in Rancho Cucamonga, California: Do you go down the chimney head first or feet first.
