Anybody see the movie "Noel" with Susan Sarandon ? It was on TV last night here in Belgium. I was getting all settled to watch a lovely Christmas movie... Turned out to be the worst movie I ever saw !! I didn't even finish it though I'm sure it all ends well and everybody has a happy christmas. I mean this is about one guy beating his wife, a very lonely woman, lots of arguments, ... the only Christmassy thing was the snow and the decorations !

I completely disagree!! I really, really liked this movie! It made me bawl like a baby. It is a mix of people with different real-life problems, but in the end all end up "redeeming" their lives and in the true spirit of Christmas.

I think it was great and taught a lot about forgiveness and giving of one's self. Great lessons in my opinion.

Well to be honest I haven't seen it nor heard of it for that matter. I'm not a fan of weepy films, especially xmas ones. I do like Susan Sarandon thou, a real good actress. She was great in The Rocky Horror Show, but she was much younger then of course.

I watched this movie with my wife and it wasn't that bad. It was really boring and slow to me but I usually only watch war movies. So other than there being no action, it wasn't half bad.

I had it taped & watched it. I know what Diane is saying every person she can into contact with had a different situation they had to deal with. With her help they came to what was right, you have to have an open mind when you watch this movie. The Lord comes in different people in our lives, it's up to us if we help him or not.

I do love Susan Sarandon, that's why I watched it. "Stepmom" is my favorite of her movies. But this one really disappointed me.
