The penny has finally dropped and I've just had the most stomach churning realisation that I've got 10 days to organise Christmas!! We've had the tree up since Monday, so that's good but I've bought 2 presents and 4 stocking fillers. Bruce (son) set out at 9.30 this morning and arrived home at 7pm having bought everything this side of the Mississippi and VERY proud of himself.
I don't think he gets it from me.................!!!

I feel your pain! House is a disaster, still not finished decorating, and I'm hosting an open house on Saturday night! At least I found out that I'm not having the family dinner at my house this year because my grandfather had a heart attack and he's at home, on the mend, but we don't want to get him out and about just yet. I am only halfway finished with my shopping and I'm just sending my sister's package tomorrow. It sure does catch up with you every year. I always say that this year will be different, but it never is!!
Oh well--I guess it's all part of the fun!

The best thing we can all do is sit down and write a roster for all the things we need to do over the next NINE days!!! Keep a schedule and you can't go wrong.

I know it's hard to believe. And I still have baking to do. I have done some and need to get on the ball here.

Hello everyone! This is my first post though I have been a member since last year. I live in Ontario Canada and we're in the middle of a snow storm. I've got my 3 kids (all under 13) and my wife at home and we're baking, listening to Christmas tunes, laughing and having a great family time knowing we don't have to be anywhere. The snow is piling up outside and we've got the fire going. I love these kind of days! The shopping is not done yet but money can't buy a day like this. Talk to you all again soon.

but warm and comfy inside. Most of Ontario is snowed in today! I have ventured out 3X's , to move the car for the plow, look for my front steps and plug in my bus just in case we get to pick up the kids tomorrow. (storm is not due to end until sometime tomorrow morning).
I will have to send my son around the back of the house to dig out the back door as I cannot open it due to the snow piled about 1/4 way up the door.
As for Christmas shopping, I still have to do it for my kids (had our family party yesterday just before the storm hit so that is over with now!) We are planning to go to a larger city on Tuesday for the day and will get it all done then.
Until that time, I will relax, finish up some last min. decorating and have a hot cup of honey lemon tea!
