Elf families from all over the world are gathering today at the North Pole to celebrate Thanksgiving. Santa, as you all know, loves this special day of Thanksgiving and is quoted as saying that Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday, much to the surprise of many.

Santa feels that it is important to be grateful before we begin the Christmas season. Especially during a year like this one of natural disasters such as tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes that have made life so difficult for so many around the world.

Santa has millions of elves that work for him worldwide. Thanksgiving is one of the key events that help bring some of these elves home to the North Pole to visit. One of the key events here at the North Pole is the Christmas lighting ceremony to be held tonight.

From all of us at the North Pole to all of you, Happy Thanksgiving!
