Did you think of putting a Christmassy message on your answering machine/voice mail ?

I do it every year and people just love it ! When you get my voice mail you first hear some Christmas music and the usual "sorry just missed your call....." with christmas music in the background and I finish wishing the caller "a magical Holiday season".

Now of course I let the machine pick up a bit more often so people at least hear my message :-D

That IS a good idea! I run an after-hours business from my home, and my machine is usually geared toward that, but there's no rule that says a business answering maching can't have a Christmas message!

on the machine to suit every season, or just because. One time the kids and I did one to the theme of "we will rock you". It is so fun to think of new ones to put on.

I don't normally change my message but it is a great idea. I always make sure to change the ringtone on my cellphone to a christmas song.

forgot about my cell phone. I have the ringer on that set to the Hallelujah chorus. I get lots of strange looks and chuckles when my phone rings.

I use the generic answering machine voice as I lost the instructions and don't remember how to change the message. Might have to do some research on-line, though. Great idea, Kerst! :D

oh...that´s a great idea...I think I will start that this year....but when I start it....in Auigust`?....lol...no I think I will change it come November....end of November tho
