My hubby had the most wonderful idea this year, I have been really stressed this year about getting everything done b/c I went back to school this fall. I just finished last night and am barely ready for Christmas. So he suggested that we not buy anything for each other until after Christmas, just worry about the kids. Then he said he is booking us a room at the beautiful Avon Old Farms Hotel for New years Eve. And that we could exchange gifts with each other then. I just that was very sweet and I think I am more excited about that then any Christmas so far.

What a sweet DH! Not only do you get to ease back a bit on the Christmas stress, you get a weekend away and you get to extend the Christmas joy into the New Year by celebrating a romantic Christmas at New Year's!
