I’ve been invited to be on the UK BBC Radio London ‘Late Show’ with Kath Melandri on Christmas Eve Night!

It should happen about 11.45pm UK/GMT, so that’s 7.45pm EST and 4.45pm PST.

You can find out more about BBC Radio London here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/radio/ and you should be able to listen live on the night, the more the merrier!

So if you're in the London, UK area have a listen or try online! It's kind of daunting - I hope I'm still awake then and I don't know what they're gonna ask me!

While making sure I had the right web address, I discovered that BBC Radio requires Real Player for listening. The computers at work don't have Real Player and my employer blocks the Real Player download. Phooey!

Any chance that you'll record this James?

Jonathan - not necessarily. I was listening to BBC Radio through the computer at work today and listening with Real Player is an option. If you click on the "Listen Live" it actually connects without bringing up Real Player. If you decide to use Real Player, it opens a separate window

The 'listen live page can be got directly (so no pop-up needed) at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/london.shtml but I've a hunch that real is still used in there somewhere - perhaps just with a pretty front end!

The full stream url is: rtsp://rmlive-lr.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive-lr/ev7/live24/london/live/bbcldn_fm_g2.ra (which is a real stream)

If you've got VLC player installed you can open it in that. Sadly qt/winamp/wmp won't open it.

I'm hoping to record it via playing it online in real and using audacity to record (yes I am a geek!). I'll bung an mp3 up hopefully tomorrow or on the 26th.

Thanks to the magic of www.bywhat.com/ and the link James posted, I am now up and running on BBC-London!

You still need to post it afterward though James! Something may happen at work that will cause me to miss it!

For the Central Time Zone, that's 5:45 pm (17:45). I've already got the stream going.

I've also got the stream for Jon Solomon's 24 hour marathon Christmas show going (had to back door to get to it as well!). It starts in about forty-five minutes.

When James hits the BBC, I'm taking a break from Jon!
