It is all starting to make sense now: the Bah Humbug Virus is back.
The Bah Humbug virus is a serious illness affecting the Christmas spirit. People who get it do not want to celebrate Christmas. And many elves, according to Elf Dr. Lionel P. Spock, have it here at the North Pole.
That is why Elf Victor took the reindeer away. If the reindeer got the virus Christmas would be ruined. That is why Mrs. Claus went away. Santa did not want her to get it either. And that is why Santa brought so many new elves here to the North Pole. It all makes sense now!
But things remain a little stressed here at the North Pole. We have much work to do. Everyone is afraid now of getting sick and spreading the disease. Every one is really concerned about what would happen if Santa got the disease!
Elf Lionel says not to worry about that. He is taking steps to prevent it from happening to Santa and to all the elves that have recently come to the North Pole.
There will be lots of hand washing, lots of getting to bed early and lots of eating vegetables at the North Pole. There is nothing worse than being sick at Christmastime! So we are all being very careful here. Hopefully the disease will not get any worse here.
