Yes it did, we spent Christmas eve and morning with our daughter and her family. It was nice seeing the grandchildren open their gifts and of course we were treated to a performance, one got a new mic. so she sang (made up songs) and her younger sister got a guitar so she played along, it was memorable. Then it was on the road to visit other grandchildren and the weather was perfect, no snow or nasty roads, yeah!

It went great! On Christmas Eve, we were treated to my son and daughter playing Christmas music on their instruments. Ricky plays the saxophone (5th year college student in Music Education) and Alice plays the clarinet (Senior in Early Childhood Education). I thoroughly enjoyed them playing. They did 3-4 duets and each did some solos. I think we're getting treated to more of the same on Sunday for our family gathering. I think a nephew will be added playing his snare drum! What fun!

That is so nice Maeberry. I would love to someday learn how to play the sax too! Sounds as if you enjoyed it all. And it sounds as if you have some special children=)

:rudolph:Our Christmas was wonderful. It was great to stay home, and not have to go out of the house that day. WE all got great gifts, and my holiday meal came out delicious. Except for my oldest step son having to go back to NY that same night everything went as planned.

Christmas was great. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. It was just a calm, peaceful Christmas.

It was great but on the 27th of December my lips chapped and they are still chapped now. *licks them*
Not exactly for me as I did get sick a few days before Christmas, woke up early the 23rd with a bad cold still and couldn't sleep...and heard on the radio a guy talking about death...was really a great way to get excited for Christmas haha...but I did get a bit better in time for eve and day although was not 100% healthy...this year I will not get sick no matter what.

Ours were Ok, not everything went as planned.
I was laid off from my job the week before Christmas. I was working for a school district that was having major buget issues. They had to lay off alot of their staff. That same day I won a GC for a local grocery store on the radio station contest which entered me into their granprize drawing. Well on Christmas Eve Morning the radio station called me at 6 am to tell me that I won the grandprize which was a new car!
Anyway Christmas eve/day were a bit more hectic then what we would have liked so we have a already discussed changes that we will make. There were other events duringthe month that were not well planned out or were planned at last minute by other family members that were not as enjoyable as I would have liked it to be so this year we will focus more on out little family and plan and attend events that our kids will be able to enjoy to the fullest. We have also talked about do a jingle bell jaunt with the kids this year since our son should be old enough to enjoy it.

In a perfect world my son wouldn't have been in Wales, but I did get to talk to him Christmas morning and he had a terrific time and made it home safe and sound.
Lets hope Christmas 2008 goes a lot better than 2007 :-).

We actually had a wonderful Christmas. My youngest BIL cam to visit, and was here for a week. He and my son had a great time playing together. Watching DS face on Christmas Eve as he came downstairs to see his toys was priceless. We spent the Holiday with family and great friends. It was almost perfect!

Mine wasnt too great, as I woke in small hours of Christmas morning with a rather nasty stomach bug. Spent all of Christmas Day in bed :-(
This Christmas I WILL NOT be ill! I think I will live in a hermetically sealed chamber the week before Christmas! ;-)

on reflection, mine was lovely, not as amazing as i would have wanted it to be on christmas day/boxing day but that was my own fault for running late on a few things, also i was not happy with the way i decorated my home, i am gonna put alot more effort in this year with that, apart from that the build up was fantastic. let's all promise to make christmas 2008 one to remember - i can't wait! (talk about wishing my life away, haha!)

Christmas 2007 -celebrating the "season" works well and spreads out the fun. But --- I was too tired to go to Christmas Eve Services with family. That was NOT GOOD! So, for Christmas 2008 - I hope to have so much done in advance that I will be well-rested! And ready to calmly enjoy precious things - like Christmas Eve Services! :-?
